Privacy Policy

SoundWiz is built on a simple promise: your audio stays on your computer. This policy explains what data the Software and this website handle — and, just as importantly, what they do not.

1. Your Audio Is Never Uploaded

• All transcription runs locally on your machine (CPU or your own GPU) using the whisper.cpp engine.
• Your recordings, transcripts and projects are stored only on your own disk.
• The Software contains no upload step. There is no cloud component that receives your audio, ever.
• After you install a model, the Software works fully offline.

2. Network Activity of the Software

The only network requests the Software makes are the model downloads you explicitly choose. Whisper models (published by OpenAI) are downloaded directly from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) when you request them. We do not inject ads, trackers or analytics into the Software.

3. Data Stored Locally

The Software stores settings, downloaded models, projects and transcripts on your local disk. You can remove them at any time from within the app or by uninstalling. We have no access to this data.

4. Purchases Are Handled by Creem (Merchant of Record)

When you buy the Pro edition, the purchase is processed by Creem (creem.io) in its capacity as Merchant of Record. Creem collects and processes the data required to complete the sale — such as your name, email address, billing address and payment details — and issues your invoice and license key.

We receive only what is necessary to fulfill the license (for example, your email address and order reference). We never receive your full payment card details. Creem's handling of your data is described in its privacy policy: creem.io/privacy.

5. This Website

• This website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
• Standard, ephemeral server logs (such as IP address and requested URL) may be kept by the hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
• Links to third-party sites (such as Creem or Hugging Face) are governed by those sites' own policies.

6. Support Communications

If you email us for support, we use your message and email address only to answer your request. We do not add you to marketing lists.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (for example the EU/EEA, UK or certain US states), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. For data processed by Creem as Merchant of Record, contact Creem via its customer portal or privacy policy. For anything else, contact us at support@sound2note.com.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The effective date above shows the current version.
